Occupational Health

Mission:

The Occupational Health Service contributes to a safe and healthful work environment through programs aimed at reducing and eliminating work-related hazards and enhancing health promotion. Our goal is to promote, maintain, and restore the physical and psychosocial well-being of workers in order to enhance optimal functioning in the workplace. Focus is to protect the workers from hazards that may occur as a result of the work experience.

Services:

  • Screening and in-processing of Active Duty personnel, DAC, and NAF employees and some contract employees.
  • Perform inventory of chemical, biological, and physicals hazards in the workplace.
  • Provide job related medical surveillance.
  • Perform pre-placement, periodic, return to work, termination, and fitness for duty exams.
  • Evaluate occupational illnesses and injuries.
  • Perform occupational vision screenings.
  • Provide health education and counseling.
  • Conduct work related pregnancy surveillance assessments.
  • Perform work site evaluation.
  • Provide management of blood and body fluid post exposure surveillance.
  • Participate in case management of workers' compensation claims.

  • Respiratory Protection

You may be required to have immunizations or specific tests such as the following:

  • Visual screening
  • Audiometric testing
  • Pulmonary Function Test
  • Chest X-ray
  • Lab work
  • EKG

Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Clinic closed every third Thursday of the month at 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for mandatory division training
